When standing at a crowded matatu stage, the best thing that can happen is hearing a conductor say, “Wawili ijae”. Everyone steps forward hoping to occupy one of the two unfilled seats in the matatu. But every once in a while, the conductor uses this phrase and you rush to board the stationary vehicle, only to realise that it’s almost empty!
