Did you know that West Pokot County is at the border of Kenya and Tanzania? It lies at the western border of Kenya. Its county seat is Kapenguria and it hosts a population of approximately 60,000 people. Wait! Your mind is probably trying to remember something you heard or read about Kapenguria. Indeed, the 1952 infamous trials of Bildad Kaggia, Kun’gu Karumba, Jomo Kenyatta, Fred Kubai, Paul Ngei and Achieng’ Oneko took place in West Pokot.
