Did you know that Meru County has a vibrant locality with a cool climate? It is home to most of Mount Kenya and the only place you will find the Buuri, Tigania, Imenti and Igembe. This is the story of Amerucans! The term “Meru” has its origins in the Maasai community. “Mieru” – as it is known in Maasai – is used by the Maasai to describe individuals who do not speak Maa language. It is also the title for Tigania and Imenti Forests which were believed to be “quiet forests”.
